How Much Food is in a Share?
People often ask how many people one share will feed.
As you might imagine, this can be difficult to
answer because people's diets vary greatly.  We
generally say that a share feeds about 2 to 4 people on
a mixed diet, or one to two vegetarians.  Individuals
who feel that a share is too much for one person are
welcome to join with a friend.  (You decide between
yourselves how the division of produce will occur.
Some people who share choose to pick up every other
week; some choose to divide each week's produce
between them.)  Keep in mind that you do not have to
take more than you can use.
To give you an idea of what to expect, here are typical
shares from June and August:

Please note that the makeup of the share changes
throughout the season.  We strive to have plenty of
familiar favorites like tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce, as
well as a few tasty items that may be hard to find
elsewhere.
Most of the food is harvested within a day of pickup
(sometimes mere hours!), and we take numerous
measures to ensure that it stays at the peak of
freshness until you get it.  Shareholders often remark
that our produce lasts much longer than what they get
at a store.
Weather, pests, and other factors affect the availability
of many crops.
