Providing delicious, fresh, local chemical-free produce Serving York and Lancaster Counties (Pa.) Jon and Beth Weaver-Kreider own and operate Goldfinch Farm, near Wrightsville, York County, Pa. Although our land is not currently certified organic, we grow a wide variety of vegetables following strict organic standards, and hope to have our land certified within a year or two. Our produce is sold through our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) in which customers become members of the farm for the season by joining and paying at the beginning of the season, and then coming to the farm or to one of our Lancaster pick-up sites each week to receive their share of vegetables. The season runs from June through early November, about 22-23 weeks. There are typically 8-12 different items in the share each week, with the contents varying according to what is in season. CSA members can also pick their own flowers and herbs. At Goldfinch Farm, you can also buy organic and sustainably-raised meats and dairy products from other local farms, as well as fair trade coffees, teas, chocolates and olive oil. |
